Moment new-07.jpg

From a relevant experience into a meaningful one.

(The exhibition concept)

The characteristics and natures of both experiences are now mapped. Which characteristics could be merged into a single exhibition experience? How difficult it would be to make it a reality? How easy it will be for the visitors to understand what they are experiencing? And why? Can we elaborate a cohesive and engaging narrative across the entire experience?

Let's begin!

The last questions to understand our exhibition experience.

1. Which effects do we want to trigger among the visitors?

Let's reflect on the following questions...

Some considerations during this moment:

- It is highly recommended to collaborate with people who are related to the context where the expression is located.

- At this moment it is crucial to consider the idea of "Dumb it down". It is good to propose a concept easy to be understood by visitors. However, there is a risk that the experience can be so easy to process, that the importance of the Foreign element (what we want to present at first) can be lost. This also affects the respect from the visitors and developers towards the foreign element, its context and the people represented there.

- Question number 1 brings the idea of effects. These effects are characteristics of a meaningful experience. Based on workshops with designers and visitors, 8 different effects have been collected so far. These are: Accessible, memorable, emotional, authentic, unexpected, personal, impactful and participatory.

- This moment and the previous one (#5) put the visitors' perspective as a cornerstone for their development. This is because a relevant experience can be proposed by the developers, but an experience (no matter the context) can only be considered meaningful by the people who will go through it. In our case, the visitors. This is why moments #5 and #6 can be done in parallel because they complement.

- You can always go back to the previous questions, the route proposed here is just one of many that you can take.
