The Cross-Relevance Diamond (C-RD)

A framework designed to conceptualize meaningful exhibition experiences in the cultural field through relevance

Divided into 6 moments, the C-RD method goes through a series of questions to understand and discover the possibilities of connecting either expressions or people from a certain context (source/foreign) with our current/local context. To achieve this, the method relies on two ideas: the common/shared topics or themes that exist across societies, and the conceptualization of meaningful experiences to people.

Originally conceived for exhibition experiences in museums and cultural institutions, this method can be used for more:

As a conversation starter between specialists from different disciplines; a classification system for expressions around the world; as a tool to (re)discover our connections with the people who live before us; or even as a way to understand how people in the future will deal with the concerns and situations that are happening around us today.
